Underpinned With Prayer

next steps

As with any church project, prayer is the essential element that underpins Next Steps. We value your prayers and this page will give some prayer points for you to use including a downloadable guide.

Pray

We have so much to be thankful for this month so let us start by praising God:

For the Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and his faithfulness continues to each generation. Amen.

      Psalm 100:5

Lord, you are always true to your promises and we give you thanks and praise for your never-ending faithfulness. Lord we thank you for the guidance of the Holy Spirit in leading to the appointment of Hunts Construction to undertake the work on Phase 1 of the building project. We thank you for being at the centre of the discussions and negotiations which took place. Amen

Please give thanks:

  • that the pre-start meetings for Phase 1 have been held with our contractor and operating arrangements agreed

  • that preparations are well advanced and the rooms are now clear and ready

  • for the regular giving, fundraising and donations which are all helping to increase the building fund.

For our Prayers

  • That the work for Phase 1 will be able to start without further delay.

  • Please continue to pray for the contractors who are preparing tenders for Phase 2, the Main worship area and front entrance, that they will grasp the church’s vision for the building and offer value for money.

  • For Lucy Thatcher as she undertakes running 50km in March to raise money for the project, that she has God-given energy and stays injury-free.

  • That the grant applications will be successful in securing additional funds for the project.

  • For continued energy and health for the team, especially Helen and Peter Thatcher who are carrying the lion’s share.
