The Good News of God - 25th October

Welcome to our Virtual service for Sunday 25th October. The theme for this week is the Good News of God. I invited our church family to share some good news stories with me earlier in the week. The children did a great job at letting me know their good news and you can hear their stories in the video. My hope for this morning’s service is that as you hear the good news stories from the fellowship and all about the Good news of God from Wayne that your heart will be lifted and your mind inspired. That you will sing with the Psalmist, a new song to the Lord.

The Righteousness of God - 18th October

Are you hiding from God? That’s a very tricky question to answer at the moment and the first response will, I suspect, be “of course not”. When you think about it, then perhaps you may start to reconsider your answer. Without our usual Sunday church service you may be finding it hard to maintain or grow your faith, however the good news is that God is not hiding, He is always with us and He never gets tired.

The Mercy of God - 11th October

If you’re joining us for online church this Sunday – welcome! Whether you attended our church before we had to cease meeting together physically or have recently joined us via this online format, my hope and prayer for you this day is that you will meet with God and receive from him what he has for you. We will be worshiping together and spending a significant amount of time in prayer and intercession today, our nation and our world certainly need it. We are continuing in our teaching series in the New Testament book of Romans. One of the themes of Paul’s letter to both the Jews & Gentiles in Rome is that all of us are saved by a work of God in our lives and nothing else.

The Word of God - 4th October

As you join with us, your church family, online this Sunday, may you know a tangible sense of God’s presence with you as you worship, pray, read God’s word and share in communion together. Catrin and her homegroup members will be leading communion for us, so please try and make sure that you have some bread and wine or juice with you so that you can share communion with us.

The Love of God - 27th September

The theme for our service of worship this Sunday is “The Love of God”. We come to one of the most life-changing passages in the New Testament, Romans 8:31-39. Peter Thatcher will be opening up the passage for us and we are grateful to him for his thoughtful preparation and prayer.

Harvest Service - 20th September

The focus for this year’s All Age Harvest Service is a ministry already well known to us as a church and very much close to our hearts; the Guinebor II hospital in Chad.We will be using the resources provided for us by BMS called ‘Operation Chad’ as a way of learning more about the story of Guinebor II hospital, BMS World Mission’s beacon of hope in the hostile Sahel desert.

Chad is a place where the threats of Coronavirus and Boko Haram loom large and where the life expectancy averages 50 years old, in part because Chad has the third highest infant mortality rate in the world. In the service there will be a plea to consider donating to this important ministry of the Guinebor II hospital. Here’s the link to the BMS webpage where donations can be made: https://www.bmsworldmission.org/appeal/operation-chad

The Will of God - 13th September

Welcome to our virtual gathering! The weather may be unpredictable at the moment and the Coronavirus regulations may change but one thing we can be sure of is the unending faithfulness and majesty of God. As we worship, pray and listen together, may you be filled once again with the certainty of His love for you.

Catrin, one of our Elders, will be talking to us about Evangelism in this our ‘2020 Year of Evangelism’ and Tim, our minister, will be bringing us God’s word as we continue in our series of sermons on the Book of Romans. Today we look at Chapter 8 verses 18-30 ‘The Will of God’.

The Children of God - 6th September

Once again it is a great pleasure to welcome you all to our virtual gathering. Wherever you will be, and whatever time it will be, when you join in our worship, may you be blessed and may you truly know God’s presence. May you be encouraged, strengthened, comforted by our worship and may it set you right for the week ahead. John Holmes, one of our Elders, will be bringing us God’s word as we move on in our series of sermons on the Book of Romans.

Toward the end of the service we will be celebrating the Lord’s Supper or as some call it: Communion. So we would encourage you to take part with us, though we are scattered around the county, country and world. Jesus is not limited to a building, but is everywhere and as we take part, we are drawn closer to Him and to each other.
