As you browse the site:

We collect information from you if you use the message boards, guestbook, or e-mail us via the site.  This is limited to the data you enter. 

Otherwise, we collect no information other than standard server-side management data such as your IP address and your browser type.

Church Directory

With permission of the individuals concerned, the church holds the names, addresses and telephone numbers of church members and some of the wider congregation on computer. This data is published as a printed Church Directory and in the E-mail directory section of the Forums. This use is subject to the Data Protection Act 1998, but is exempt from registration under the Act.

The data is only available to those included in the Directory. Electronic access to the information is by the use of the password protected Forum login. We take care to make sure this information is secure.

We will not knowingly disclose these addresses outside of the church. You can ask us to remove your details from this list.

Spam

Your e-mail address can be taken from the guestbook and used in spamming.   Whilst we cannot prevent this, any spam e-mails you receive do not have our permission and should be disregarded. You can choose not to leave your e-mail address in the guestbook.  More advice on avoiding spam.

Church e-mail addresses

To help reduce spam and protect privacy, we do not use private email addresses within the website pages. We can provide a bluntishambaptist.org e-mail address for people who need to be contacted via the website.
